The first roster update following the start of the regular season is always one of the most anticipated each year in MLB The Show. Because of the way the licensing works, players can not be featured in the game until they are a member of the MLB Players Association, and that only happens once they have officially appeared in a Major League game.

Today the roster update adding in the first batch of rookies this season made it to MLB The Show 16. While the game is still missing a number of players who should be eligible to be included – most notable among them Dae-Ho Lee – the majority of individuals who have seen their first Major League action have been added.
