What the new eSports push may mean for sports games

The announcement that Electronic Arts has created its own stand-alone division, headed up by longtime executive Peter Moore, to support, build, and promote eSports competitions for the titles in its portfolio, will mean changes big and small coming in 2016. The Madden team has already begun integrating eSports into its game via the new Draft Champions Ranked mode, and next year will surely bring a host of new features and modes throughout the EA Sports portfolio. Rich and Bryan get together to discuss the reasons behind the push, what it may mean for our favorite games, and whether or not it portends a much more significant shift down the line.
